Delft University of Technology
Dr. Telesilla Bristogianni is an Assistant Professors at the Architectural Engineering + Technology Department, at the TU Delft Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment. She is an Architect Engineer (MSc at NTUA), Building Technologist (MSc at BK TU Delft) and Glass Scientist (PhD at CiTG TU Delft), with a focus on cast glass strength and the reprocessing of glass waste streams into upcycled architectural materials. She studies the correlation of casting parameters to the properties of cast glass products, by conducting melting experiments and employing material characterization and mechanical testing techniques. Together with dr. Faidra Oikonomopoulou, Telesilla has been involved in the R&D of several realized cast glass structures (Crystal Houses, Glass Vault, Qaammat Pavilion, Mirage) and has co-received multiple research and engineering awards, while prototypes of the co-joint research have been exhibited in several prestigious international exhibitions.
